Russell S. Hagen
Senior Vice President, Business Development

Russell Hagen is vice president, business development at Plum Creek. In this role, he oversees the company’s business development activities, including acquisitions and dispositions, while continuing to manage the Energy and Natural Resource business.

Hagen began his career in 1988 with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC where he was a certified public accountant and led the audits of public clients in the technology, banking and natural resource industries. He joined Plum Creek in 1993 as manager of internal audit and has since held positions of increasing responsibility at the company including director-level positions in accounting, financial operations, risk management and information technology.

Prior to his current role, he was vice president, real estate development. This role included oversight of the company’s real estate development activities as well as natural resources, and was responsible for the development of the company’s oil and gas, construction materials, and water resources assets.

Hagen received a Bachelor of Science in business and accounting from Seattle University.

He serves on the Board of Advisors of the Seattle University business school where he has also been an adjunct lecturer.
