Larry D. Neilson
Senior Vice President, Resources and Operations Support

Larry Neilson is senior vice president, resources and operations support at Plum Creek. In this position, he oversees the sustainable management of the company’s approximately 6.8 million acres of timberland. He is responsible for manufacturing, timber inventory and productivity, harvest planning, the company’s tree improvement program and seedling nurseries. Neilson has served in several positions at Plum Creek, most recently as vice president of acquisitions and divestitures.

Neilson joined Plum Creek in 2002 as vice president, real estate, overseeing land development, joint ventures with third-party developers, and sales of unique properties. From 1994 to 2002, he served in a variety of real estate positions at Microsoft Corporation including general manager, worldwide real estate & facilities. His responsibilities were later broadened when he became general manager, corporate services and worldwide real estate & facilities.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Neilson served as vice president and director of finance & acquisitions for Skinner Development Company. He also served as director, real estate acquisitions at Equitec Properties Company, a real estate syndication firm. He began his career in the audit department at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company.

Neilson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
