Plum Creek sells standing timber and logs to industrial customers throughout our operating areas.

Plum Creek is one of the United States' largest suppliers of high-quality logs. Our timberlands provide premium logs for domestic and overseas customers as well as our own manufacturing facilities.

In the Northwest, our rich mix of Douglas fir, hemlock, pine, spruce and cedar provides premium logs for our 10 Montana and Idaho manufacturing facilities and for third-party mills.

Our Northeast Region supplies prime hardwoods and softwoods to domestic and Canadian sawmills, pulp mills and chip mills. This region also produces top-quality veneer logs for the makers of furniture and fine wood products in countries around the world.

Our vast and highly productive Southern regions yield hardwood and softwood pulpwood and saw logs. Widespread manufacturing facilities purchase these Plum Creek logs to make a variety of products, including pulp and paper, plywood and oriented strandboard, softwood lumber and hardwood lumber.
