Sustainable Manufacturing
Plum Creek operates 10 manufacturing facilities that produce quality lumber, plywood, panels and remanufactured products. These facilities are managed to safeguard employees and the neighboring communities, minimize waste, and ensure operations that are as sustainable as the forests from which we access our raw materials. To accomplish this, we manage our plants and make decisions based on the following Manufacturing Environmental Principles.
Biannual audits by independent, nationally recognized environmental management firms help substantiate this commitment and ensure our ongoing compliance with regulatory and permit requirements. In alternate years without third-party audits, the company performs its own internal audits as a means to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
