Our Land & Working Forests

Plum Creek is among the largest and most geographically diverse private landowners in the nation with approximately 6.8 million acres of timberlands in forest ecosystems across the northern and southeastern United States. We also operate wood product mills in the Northwest.

Our Commitment to the Land

As the company celebrates its 25th anniversary as a publicly traded corporation, we continue to manage our land with a strong commitment to the environment and conservation, and our sustainable forestry practices confirm this pledge. In fact, all of our land has been independently certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) Standard, and we maintain a continuous SFI certification and third-party audits on all of our property. Since 1989, we have committed nearly 1.5 million acres of our lands across the country to conservation.
