Our Land & Working Forests

Plum Creek is among the largest and most geographically diverse private landowners in the nation with more than 6 million acres of timberlands in forest ecosystems across the northern and southeastern United States. We also operate wood product mills in the Northwest.

Our Commitment to the Land

Having celebrated our 25th anniversary as a publicly traded corporation, we continue to manage our land with a strong commitment to the environment and conservation, and our sustainable forestry practices confirm this pledge. In fact, our land has been independently certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) Standard, and we maintain a continuous SFI certification and third-party audits on our property. Since 1989, we have committed more than 1.5 million acres of our lands across the country to conservation.
