Recreation

Plum Creek understands the value that forestland provides for recreational opportunities. The company is proud to provide the public with access to the vast majority of its Maine land for recreation. From hunting to snowmobiling, bird watching, hiking, cross-country skiing, fishing and more, the company recognizes that forestland in the state is a valuable resource. In return, we ask that visitors treat our property and equipment with respect by following several guidelines for camping, snowmobiling, ATV use, road restrictions and other uses.

Additionally, if you are enjoying our lands, we encourage you take part in our new bald eagle nest identification program.  The program, which provides a $100 reward to anyone who identifies a new bald eagle nest on our Maine, Vermont or New Hampshire land, is designed to track and protect the eagles as they change nesting sites.  Plum Creek has been monitoring the locations of eagle nests for years in order to protect the national bird, and now we are inviting the public to join us in our search.   Learn more on the program, including background on bald eagle nesting habits, how to determine if a nest is new and who to contact if you identify a nest.
