Community Involvement

As a member of the Maine community, Plum Creek understands its role as a corporate citizen and a good neighbor and is committed to the communities in which it operates.

Through the Plum Creek Foundation, the company provides financial support to Maine organizations with the goal of improving quality of life and providing services to residents in communities where it operates. Specifically, the Foundation aims to assist nonprofit groups that are trying to accomplish a new goal or complete a project. In 2011, the Plum Creek Foundation awarded nearly $120,000 in grants to non-profit groups in the state.

In addition to the Plum Creek Foundation, the company also operates an internship program in Maine. Interns gain a solid foundation in forestry.
